Having attended Mental Health First Aid courses in the past, I went into this course as we all would, with a preconception that I will sit there for hours and be rattled off a list of mental health conditions, how to spot them and where to signpost individuals who are suffering with mental ill health. But how wrong I was….

‘This course gave our team members permission to talk about how they really feel and the patience to understand that others may have challenges of their own to face. At the same time, it allowed us as a business to break down the good and the not-so-good things we do for our team, further enabling us to design our strategies with everyone’s mental health in mind. Knowing we had support for an ongoing period after was fantastic too as it really gave us the confidence to make necessary changes.’
